Damage spreading in the random cluster model

نویسندگان

چکیده

We investigate the damage spreading effect in Fortuin-Kasteleyn random cluster model for 2- and 3-dimensional grids with periodic boundary. For 2D function has a global maximum at p=q/(1+q) all q>0 also local maxima p=1/2 q≲0.75. 3D we observe q≲0.46 q≲4.5. The chaotic phase of model's (p,q)-parameter space is where coupling time exponential order locate points on its lower bound this may be equal to corresponding critical point q-state Potts q≥3.

Damage Spreading in the Ising Model

We present two new results regarding damage spreading in ferromagnetic Ising models. First, we show that a damage spreading transition can occur in an Ising chain that evolves in contact with a thermal reservoir. Damage heals at low temperature and spreads at high T . The dynamic rules for the system’s evolution for which such a transition is observed are as legitimate as the conventional rules...

Damage Spreading in the Kawasaki Ising Model

We observe no phase transition in the damage spreading probability at the Curie point of the 2D Ising model with nearest neighbor spin exchange dynamics. Furthermore, we report values of the growth exponent z close to unity, implying "'speed of light" transmission of information, and values of the exponents describing the scaling behavior of the damage mass with time and distance, close to two....

The Random-cluster Model

The class of random-cluster models is a unification of a variety of stochastic processes of significance for probability and statistical physics, including percolation, Ising, and Potts models; in addition, their study has impact on the theory of certain random combinatorial structures, and of electrical networks. Much (but not all) of the physical theory of Ising/Potts models is best implement...

Damage spreading and criticality in finite random dynamical networks.

We systematically study and compare damage spreading at the sparse percolation (SP) limit for random Boolean and threshold networks with perturbations that are independent of the network size N. This limit is relevant to information and damage propagation in many technological and natural networks. Using finite-size scaling, we identify a new characteristic connectivity Ks, at which the average...

Damage spreading in spatial and small-world random Boolean networks.

The study of the response of complex dynamical social, biological, or technological networks to external perturbations has numerous applications. Random Boolean networks (RBNs) are commonly used as a simple generic model for certain dynamics of complex systems. Traditionally, RBNs are interconnected randomly and without considering any spatial extension and arrangement of the links and nodes. H...
